Jesus said: "Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal” (Matthew 6:19). “Treasures” have earthly value, and God approves respect for personal ownership. Everyone who breaks in and steals is a thief who is violating God’s Law. The Gospel of Christ teaches: “Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need” (Ephesians 4:28). Thieves, to show repentance, should have to buy what they have stolen by getting a job. Jobs should help workers be benevolent to others. Karl Marx’s criminal communism abolishes personal ownership, God’s Christ protects private property. Decide how you want it: godliness or ungodliness. - August 2, 2021
