Before Israelites entered the Promised Land, Moses warned they "will do evil in the sight of the LORD, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands" (Deuteronomy 31:29). How bad would they get? “The LORD will strike you with consumption, with fever, with inflammation, with severe burning fever, with the sword, with scorching, and with mildew; they shall pursue you until you perish” (Deuteronomy 28:22). “A nation whom you have not known shall eat the fruit of your land and the produce of your labor, and you shall be only oppressed and crushed continually” (Deuteronomy 28:33). When they would not return back to God, God said, “Prepare to meet your God” (Amos 4:12). “The wicked shall be turned into hell, And all the nations that forget God” (Psalm 9:17). As a nation, let’s remember God. - 11-8-2021
