The Perils of Paul: New Mini Article Now Available

“Three times I was beaten with rods; once I was stoned; three times I was shipwrecked; a night and a day I have been in the deep; in journeys often, in perils of waters, in perils of robbers, in perils of my owncountrymen, in perils of the Gentiles, in perils in the city, in perils in the wilderness, in perils in the sea, inperils among false brethren; in weariness and toil, in sleeplessness often, in hunger and thirst, in fastings often, in cold and nakedness” (2 Corinthians 11:25-27).

(1) Jesus never said it would be easy to “preach the word.”

(2) Life is a “risk” or ”peril,” but that’s no excuse for avoiding the market-place or going to church (Acts 17:17; 20:7)!

(3) Where was Paul’s “guardian angel” to keep these things from happening? Take a chance on life. - March 22, 2021

Pay Back OR Forward? - Mini Article Now Available

“Do not say, ‘I will do to him just as he has done to me; I will render to the man according to his work’" (Proverbs 24:29). Returning evil for evil means the victim has become evil, or dropped to the level of the evil-doer. The wiser way says, “Do not say, ‘I will recompense evil;’ Wait for the LORD, and He will save you” (Proverbs 20:22). The best way to treat an evil-doer is: “If your enemy is hungry, give him bread to eat; And if he is thirsty, give him water to drink; For so you will heap coals of fire on his head, And the LORD will reward you” (Proverbs 25:21-22). This is quoted for Christians to follow in the New Testament in Romans 12:17-21. Don’t let the bad guys win! - February 22, 2021
