QA: Did Jesus Teach "Absolute Values"?

QUESTION: Jesus didn't teach "absolute values", did He? - 6/13/2021

ANSWER: In mathematics, the "absolute value" of a number or integer is its distance from zero. There must be an absolute beginning point for numbers to have value. So also with humans.

1. JESUS CHRIST WAS THE SACRIFICE FOR AN "EVERLASTING COVENANT" AND MAKES CHRISTIANS "COMPLETE IN EVERY GOOD WORK TO DO HIS WILL." (Hebrews 13:20-21) ... Read More of this in Bible Content On Jesus Christ; it is also available in Questions Answered.

QA: Are Homosexuals Born of God?

QUESTION: Since "everyone who loves is born of God and knows God" (1 John 4:7), then are homosexuals who love each other "born of God"? - June 2, 2019

ANSWER: This is a very good question in view of our present society. Presenting homosexuality as an "alternate lifestyle" in schools, popularising representatives in movies, entertaining the idea on TV, or defending as "legal rights" with organisations, have all made this sexual concept sound acceptable. Those who oppose such an idea have been made to feel guilty by being labelled as prejudiced, racist, homophobic, or hateful. What can Christians say? 1. Jesus condemned homosexuality by emphasising God's created sexual order was unchanged (Matthew 19:4-5) ... Read More of this and other QA in Questions Answered.

QA: Why Is the Church So Judgmental?

QUESTION: Why is the church of Christ so judgmental, condemning everyone but themselves? - June 9, 2019

ANSWER: How can you see through the fog & smog of judgmental sinners and think condemnation is only coming from Christians?

1. It is NOT wrong to teach what is right. Moses taught Israelites that loving God means keeping His commandments and judgments.           (Deuteronomy 7:11-12Deuteronomy 11:1) In the Bible God has given His judgments about human behaviour. It is not judging to preach God's judgments, for we are not making that judgment ourselves (1 Corinthians 11:31-32). ...

2. Judging is wrong when we are harsher on others than we are on ourselves. (Luke 6:37Romans 2:1-2)...

Right Judgments: Mini Article Now Available

“Discrimination” is the quality or power of finely distinguishing,” or making judgments. Making moral judgments based upon what God says is exactly what God wants us to do. Solomon asked God to, “Give to Your servant an understanding heart to judge Your people, that I may discern between good and evil. For who is able to judge this great people of Yours?" (1 Kings 3:9). Making “judgments” and “discerning” on the basis of “good and evil” is what God's “wisdom” is all about. Jesus called “hypocrites” those who “can discern the face of the sky and of the earth, but how is it you do not discern this time? Yes, and why, even of yourselves, do you not judge what is right?” (Luke 12:56-57). Making moral judgements, people “Have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil” (Hebrews 5:14). - March 29, 2021 Words of Wisdom Articles.

What Price "Unity"? - Mini Article Now Available

“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness”          (Romans 1:18). Many are calling for national unity. “Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?” (Amos 3:3) Opposites cannot be brought together unless one side repents and relents. “Rather, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice they sacrifice to demons and not to God, and I do not want you to have fellowship with demons. You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons; you cannot partake of the Lord's table and of the table of demons” (1 Corinthians 10:20-21). Those who practice violence for their power, and preach hatred and resentment for their purpose cannot demand “unity” from those who love the Bible and the Constitution, without changing themselves. - January 25, 2021

QA: What Does the Bible Say Abut "Self Identification"?

QUESTION: What does the Bible say about "self identification"? - April, 2019

Answer: We keep hearing about people who “self-identify” ... The dictionary defines it as, “identification with someone or something outside oneself.” “Self-consciousness” is the awkward feeling that we do not feel comfortable with our surroundings, but we can adjust. “Self-identification” is the fiction that we can actually make ourselves something/someone other than what we really are! “Can the Ethiopian change his skin or the leopard its spots? Then may you also do good who are accustomed to do evil?” (Jeremiah 13:23) ... Read More of this and other QA on my Questions Answered page. Please feel free to submit a question on this page.
