Happy Father's Day is best remembered with a reminder from Maltbie Davenport Babcock's hymn, This Is My Father's World. The poem refers to several scriptures, including Jacob's exclamation "the Lord is in this place" from Genesis 28:16; the rockfall, earthquake, and still small voice of 1 Kings 19:11–12; and paraphrasing Psalm 96:10–11.

In light of the COVID impact on mental health, I prayerfully bring your attention to Nathan Sexton’s Scattering the Shadows seminars that could be excellent support for our brethren.
Nathan Sexton has begun a ministry to help Christians learn what the mental health issues are, and what each Christian may do to help deal with these issues, whether in our own families, the church, or personally. His insight, expertise, and knowledge are outstanding. And he uses appropriate Scriptures at suitable times throughout his presentations which show that these are not only modern problems.
He began here at Oneida, TN, and he is ready and quite able to be of service among Bible believers. We bid him "Godspeed" in this venture.
Please pray for this work, and make a time for him to come for a seminar to suit your church family’s needs. Especially at this time, depression is but one of the "shadows" that need the light of the Word of God.

Standing amid rows of boxes bearing the words “Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Effort,” President Donald Trump talked Friday to survivors of this week’s tornadoes in Middle Tennessee and expressed sorrow for the victims.
Trump visited the gym of the Jefferson Avenue Church of Christ in Cookeville, which church members converted into a relief center just hours after an EF-4 tornado tore through their community 80 miles east of Nashville about 2 a.m. Tuesday.
Addressing the media, President Trump said:
“Even all of this — Churches of Christ — tremendous amounts of food and goods, and it all came within a matter of hours,” Trump said. “So it’s a case study — a case study of what should be done and how it can be done. It’s Tennessee.”

Lessons from Noah and the Ark
1. Don't miss the boat.
2. Remember that we are all in the same boat.
3. Plan ahead! It wasn't raining when Noah built the Ark.
4. Stay fit. When you're 600 years old, someone may ask you to do something really big.
5. Don't listen to critics; just get on with the job that needs to be done.
6. Build your future on high ground.
7. For safety's sake, travel in pairs.
8. Speed isn't always an advantage. The snails were on board with the cheetahs.
9. When you're stressed, float a while.
10. Remember, the Ark was built by amateurs; the Titanic by professionals.
11. No matter the storm, when you are with God, there's always a rainbow waiting. -----Anonymous
