“Now the works of the flesh are evident, which are: adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lewdness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies, envy, murders, drunkenness, revelries, and the like; of which I tell you beforehand, just as I also told you in time past, that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God” (Galatians 5:19-21). What is wrong with our society, or any other, is that works of the flesh are not only practiced, but they are promoted, and presumed with pride to be without any shame or guilt, whatsoever! Sinners are not ashamed of their own sins, but of all those who “Preach the word!” (2 Timothy 4:2)! However, like Paul, “I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes” (Romans 1:16). - January 20, 2020
