Is It Your Time to Die?

Some think “when it’s your time to die, there’s nothing you can do about it.” David wrote: "LORD, make me to know my end, And what is the measure of my days, That I may know how frail I am. Indeed, You have made my days as handbreadths, And my age is as nothing before You; Certainly every man at his best state is but vapor. Selah Surely every man walks about like a shadow” (Psalm 39:4-5). To “measure my days,” means we should count our birthdays to remind us “how frail” we are. This expression does NOT say, “God has predetermined the length of every life,” BUT we need “to number our days, That we may gain a heart of wisdom” (Psalm 90:12). We should “number our days” but nothing says that God has our days numbered! - Words of Wisdom, March 2, 2020
